Philosophy of Learning
St. Michael School philosophy is rooted in the belief that learning includes an imparting not only of information and skills, but also of a clear understanding of the Catholic truth. Pope Benedict XVI in a letter directed to the Diocese of Rome said, “It would, then, be a poor education that limited itself to imparting notions and information while ignoring the great question of truth, above all, that truth which can be a guide to life…”
To provide an authentic education, St. Michael School community embraces our students as individual learners, with both common and diverse needs. We are committed to creating a Christ-centered learning environment and to using a variety of techniques and skills to educate the whole child.
Our goal is to prepare informed, skilled, independent-thinking members of society, who are grounded in the Truth.
Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” John 14:6
